Vic: Thousands of locked out workers set for blockade
MELBOURNE, Feb 22 AAP - Thousands of locked-out Melbourne building workers are expected
to blockade the offices of the peak builders' association in the increasingly bitter fight
over a 36-hour week.
The Master Builders' Association of Victoria (MBAV) has employed security guards and
has requested a police presence ahead of the expected blockade.
"The unions have already signalled that they're going to barricade our building on
Tuesday and Wednesday," MBAV executive director Brian Welch said yesterday.
