Dorothy H. "Dottie" McCart, 77, of Peaceful Valley Farm died Thursday at home after a long illness.
She was born in White Creek, Washington County, graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Hoosick Falls and took business and secretarial courses at the old Hoosick Falls High School.
Many years ago she worked as a secretary for Babcock Express in Bennington, Vt. She and her husband helped operate the Clarence McCart Dairy Farm in White Creek and later purchased and operated their own farm. They also operated Harwood C. McCart & Sons Auction Business. She also worked as a secretary and bookkeeper until retiring in 1970.
